Saifa kata incorporates brutal combat practices such as joint manipulation and invasion of nerve cavities and tendons. The stances differ greatly in appearance and intent but are very effective in application. The principle of grabbing sinews, skin and penetrable areas is applied with a tearing motion along with forcible impact blows.
This DVD was filmed at a Master Class (November 2009) presented by the four Founding Instructors of Goshu Karate-do Yonshin Kai — Hanshi John, Les, Frank & Richard.
