Seiyunchin kata demonstrates the use of techniques to unbalance, throw and grapple. It contains close range striking, sweeps, take downs and throws.
The translation of the name includes references to ‘conquer’ and ‘suppress’. A literal interpretation is ‘to control and pull into battle’.
This DVD was filmed at a Seminar (May 2009) presented by the four Founding Instructors of Goshu Karate-do Yonshin Kai — Hanshi John, Les, Frank & Richard.
